Exhibitions/Events Source of the Kenai was exhibited summer of 2006 at a group invitational at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center in Kenai Alaska.
A solo retrospective of the Nude Excuse Series was hosted at the OUT NORTH Theater Gallery in Anchorage Alaska in January 2006.
Redemptoris Custos has been exhibited at the 5th International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence Italy and as a feature painting in a group exhibit in Anchorage Alaska in 2005
Pachamama was exhibited in a membership show at the International Gallery of Contemporary Art in Anchorage Alaska in 2004.

Ricker has been honored with three separate Career Opportunity Grants from the Alaska State Council on the Arts, and several public commissions including Float Fish, a mixed material sculpture for the IBEW Wild Salmon on Parade Public Art Events in Anchorage in 2005 and NASCAR Jack in 2004.

In 1999, he was awarded the Premio Lorenzo di Magnifico Medallion for Painting by the jury of the Florence Biennial on the strength of his painting Portrait Battle.

Formal education in the arts includes his BFA from Syracuse University in 1974
