This photo, as almost all of your work, reminds me of Trapani (By the way: Antonio, thank you again for letting us have this experience!), that nice place, that wonderful time. And I wonder what you are doing now besides counting your Greek islands every day so that no one is missing. Wouldn’t it be nice to let us know what you did with your camera in the time after Trapani? Letting us participate in the way you use your eyes to find and capture these special moments. Okay, you will let me know in person very soon I know, but this community I guess is curious too. So please be so nice to give them something to look at and enjoy what you can do so perfectly. 19 Jul 08 13:30 ok dear Hanjo,I will do it!!!see you soon on Syros!!kisses . . . the gaze... the gaze... . 10 Sep 07 14:52 Someone wrote that we should learn to see, the same way we learn to read. I think you have a natural gift for seeing, and getting to the interesting point of a scene. And you find it in any image, no matter how apparently insignificant it may seem. 10 Sep 07 16:24 Thanks dear Karen!!!!!But is 49% to me and 51% to Hanjo!!!The best part in this photo (if you want my opinion) is the gaze!!! 10 Sep 07 16:24 Thanks dear Karen!!!!!But is 49% to me and 51% to Hanjo!!!The best part in this photo (if you want my opinion) is the gaze!!! 10 Sep 07 17:10 Yes of course the painting is important, but the way you have framed the image she (the girl) seems to look at us asking for help, she seems to fear to be manipulated again, she is more alive than anything around her. Of course the painting in itself has this strong pull, somehow Hanjo stamps life in anything he paints, its like a possession of the painting a strong grip that seems to shake us each time we look at it, but.... you have added your touch and with it, it tells another story. . . . paradiso paradiso . . . . . . . elisabeth elisabeth .. . . . flying flying .
