Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

Initially I wanted to say something about the feeling of being balanced, so I drew a string, which soon became a kora string held by hands which appear in the position of the hands while playing the instrument. My kora teacher says that the hands are writing "ALLAH" in arabic when they are playing. Then comes my body with breast of two kora. Then comes my baby Thomas sitting on my arm, listening to the music and making me think that he is making my playing rather difficult . . . . . Then come the words of a song. The song is "possibly mabye" an old song by Bjork which kept playing in my head for many days . . . In actual facts Bjork did record a song two or three years ago in Bamako where Toumani plays kora. Then comes Thomas again as I remember his face from the ecographies i had during my pregnancy, with his big hands which i dreamt they were playing the instrument . . . where is the balance now? . . . .
